Taylor Swift donates $5000 to cover a fan's funeral costs after tragic car accident - 'No Words Can Express How Sorry I Am for Your Loss’

TAYLOR Swift has made a heartwarming donation to a family who lost their daughter in a car accident.

The Shake It Off singer, who is renown for her generosity, donated £5,000 to fan Katie Beth Carter’s GoFundMe page, which was created by her family to help with medical expenses and funeral arrangements. 

The 18 year old tragically died in a car accident in Alabama. 

Writing on the fundraising page, Taylor wrote: “No words could express how sorry I am for your loss.

"I know that you will keep Katie's memory alive.

“Please know how much I am thinking of you and saying a prayer for your family. All my love, Taylor."

And Katie’s sister Kimi shared a snapshot of the heartwarming donation to her own Instagram, captioning the image: “this...... I cannot believe this at all.....

“Thank you so much, Taylor.... me and my sister are smiling so hard... @taylorswift."

Fans of the Bad Blood singer left comments of condolences on the picture, with one writing: “I've never in my life read sow thing and gotten chill bumps as quick as this did! For Taylor to not know this girl and she donated $5,000 to her family for expenses! Wow!

“Hope you're okay Kimi and hope Taylor's donation help you and your family!’

A third wrote: “Oh my word this is amazing you are amazing.”

Taylor herself then liked Kimi's post on Instagram.

This isn’t the first time Taylor has reached out to others in times of need.

Last year, the star donated $15,000 to a family in need. 

After hearing about how firefighter Aaron VanRiper saved his own family when his wife and son were involved in a car crash, the Wildest Dreams singer decided to delve deep.

The star deposited the hefty amount into the GoFundMe page that had been set up to help with the medical bills for Aaron's wife Amber and their son Bear who are both in hospital.

And recently, Selena Gomez’s best friend donated £175,000 to the LA-born singer Keshaduring her legal battle with her long-term music producer who she claims sexually assaulted her.
