Louis Smith responds to critics who branded him a 'bad loser' during pommel horse final

Team GB gymnast hits back after viewers claim he 'didn't congratulate' Max Whitlock
LOUIS Smith has hit back after he was branded a “bad loser” by viewers during the pommel horse final of the Rio Olympics.
The gymnast was criticised online after taking the silver medal, with viewers claiming he didn’t congratulate his fellow Team GB medalist Max Whitlock after he won gold in the event.
Responding to a Twitter user who admitted they were “disappointed” that he never congratulated Max and that he showed no “team spirit”, Louis responded.
“what are you on about.. I hugged both him and Scott after this routine and told him how proud I was of him.
“Just because it wasn’t shown of camera doesn’t mean I didn’t show my respect. Ask max yourself then apologise,”  the 27 year old wrote.
Adding: “tell you what tweet max and ask him. I’m going to have a beer. Lions don’t worry about the opinion of sheep.”
